RPTS specializes in working with children who use echolalia, or scripts, to communicate. Using the Natural Language Acquisition framework and highly motivating child led sessions, your child will feel more connected and validated, be better understood by others, and work toward original language.
If your child would benefit from an Augmentative and Alternative Communication device, RPTS performs AAC evaluations and works with a third party vendor to help your child acquire a dedicated device. If your health insurance offers funding for AAC, we will work with them to have the device covered.
Your child may have a speech sound disorder if they struggle to produce some sounds or if others have a difficult time understanding them. RPTS has extensive experience treating children who have articulation disorders, phonological disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech. We will help your child increase the accuracy of their productions in words, sentences, and conversation.
We work with children who stutter to help them learn and deploy strategies to decrease their disfluencies while increasing their confidence. RPTS will help your child understand their unique fluency disorder, situations that increase stuttering, and how to anticipate and mitigate moments of disfluency.
